Thanks to some vindictive moron, my list had been deleted. However, unfortunately for him, as with everything else, I keep a back up copy. AND if the same mindless moron deletes this list again, it will once again magically re-appear!

Here is the latest list of Astro/Safari conversion companies, that we have evidence of, through sightings or adverts for sale, or from original sales brochures.

THE NEWEST ‘FIND’ IS KOMFORT COACHES.

There are pictures of 20 different types of conversions into the Gallery under the heading ‘Misc’ for your perusal.

If you have seen or know of any other Astro/Safari conversions, please let me know?

Thanks.

John

Not experienced this myself but Why is it this info would be deleted??? Several others have recently complained posts being removed,I understand if the content is not acceptable but if it's information alone I struggle to see the point in it be removed, maybe all the moderaters could reply to this with some clarity as to who and why.
With this info we will understand the reasons, when they disappear with no indication as to why and removed anonymously it could be taken personally causing discontent with the forum which can't be good.
.???

A rather silly nooob question (i think) but how do we tell who converted ours? lol

They usually plaster the outside with logos, but also sometimes emboss or stick the headrests. There will be clues behind the scenes as well, some of my wiring has my manufacturer's name on the labels attached.

John, there has been some behind the scenes digging regarding missing posts, threads and even gallery photos. It would seem at this point in time none of the Moderators have a scoobydoo how this has happened? I would think it highly unlikely that someone has gone in maliciously deleting stuff, I wondering if it could be some deep rooted hosting glitch?

Thanks to Ebay and Peter (GuRoo) I have been able to update the list of different Conversion Companies.

I had ‘Ultima’ down as a company. But in fact the company is ‘Stylecraft’ and the model is ‘Ultima’. If you know of any other contradictions or corrections, please contact me so that I can make the necessary changes.

This is the latest list of Astro/Safari conversion companies, that we have evidence of, through sightings or adverts for sale, or from original sales brochures.

I have found just found another conversion which is currently for sale on Ebay. It’s called a Royal Exceed.

There are pictures of 20 different types of conversions into the Gallery under the heading ‘Misc’ for your perusal.

Hmmmm so how do you know what conversion your van has? I haven't got a clue as to which mine is and there is no obvious tell tale signs to point me in the right direction.

Any ideas please?

Hi Glen,
Have you any pics posted. Most conversion companies have their name somewhere on the van. It could be outside, on a window or on the seats or headrests.
Look for any name apart from Astro.

You could try looking at the 7 pages of photos of different conversions that I put up in the Gallery under the sub heading of ‘Misc’, with the help of Shep (Astroshepawd) 4 years ago. You might get a clue from there?

Not really got many pics and all I can see is Astro EXT on the front doors. Nothing anywhere else :(
So looks like I might be trolling through those pics. If I can find the Gallery :( lol
