Hi cc.
That is sweet  That handbrake looks weird there!

How much space is there in the footwell with the pedals there?  Any chance of a photo?

Fantastic job.  A multi talented gentleman
Andy.

TOP WORK CC, Will you be visiting England when it is all finished, or are you arranging an AstroSafari Group Holiday to the Emerald Isle (I'd even bring my own GREEN ANTIFREEZE).

Again Great work, and nice sunglasses!, don't tel me you was testing the dash top for size with them?

Thanks for the photos cc.
Move the engine over a bit and reposition the hole in the floor
No, amputation may be easier, and less painful

Good work.  Now, what about that back bumper?!!!!!!!

Andy.

..............Hope yor're kidding...? looks like its made up of  old washing machine bits...

Well actually Steve  my steering is causing a bit of grief..thought i had it worked out but i was getting a tight spot at 180 degree intervals, meaning that the angle of force at the box was too severe, ..i played around
all week with moving the box around but i could never get rid of it completely...
So my next idea is to get some bevel gears and make a kinda 90 degree gearbox....
The steering and intermediate bit is fine its just the odd angle of the box..i.e it faces forward and to the left..weird..
So thats next week sorted...hope i can find the gears........

Mate, without seeing the set-up I'm running blind, but as a guess, what angles have you got on the U/J's they hate running at to severe an angle.(which is'nt much) There must be somewhere a guide that gives maximum tolerances for them ( enter Astro'goo'van'gle'man?)
I had the same problem when I altered the steering angle on my RTV (don't ask) it was a case of trial and error moving the 2 u/j's I had leading to the box until I got it aceptable.  Get it wrong and it would sure spell disaster for the box and steering, an awful lot of force is being exerted at your tight spots.
But by now you have probably sussed that out , hence the need for the bevels.
Have you got a pic to post?

O.K.....so another week goes by and after making a complete new system inc. a gearbox to accept the bevel gears and input shafts i find i'm back to square one.....meaning that the original linkage system was fine...i think (99% sure) that the problem lies in the steering box itself....arse...feck ..girls..
I'm having the same tight spots at half turns....anyone got any experience with p/s issues..again there's not much info on the yank site, but i'll probably ask them anyhow...5000 heads are better than...well....10 maybe (on a good day)...
So with everything in place (again) i'm gonna take her out tomorrow, dont worry i'll inform the local rescue services. maybe she just needs a drive (i wish).....
